The Calvary Bethlehem Health and Retirement Precinct in the Melbourne suburb of Caulfield South heralds an important innovation in integrated healthcare delivery in Australia.
The development brings together in one location retirement living, primary and community health care, residential aged care, and Calvary Bethlehem’s existing specialist services for people needing palliative care, and care for Victorians living with progressive neurological conditions, such as motor neurone disease and Huntington’s disease.
McKenzie Group Consulting are pleased to be working as the Building Certifier authority and Disability Access advisor on this truly integrated precinct that will give people a range of options for living and ageing well in their own community and the support as their care needs change.
The Calvary Bethlehem Health and Retirement Precinct will incorporate 69 independent living units; GP, allied health and related services; community care services; an 83-bed residential care facility; and Calvary Bethlehem’s existing specialist care services. A gymnasium, pool, retail space, cafes, and underground car parking are also included.
