Burwood Brickworks – The world’s sustainable shopping centre

McKenzie Group are excited to be appointed by Frasers Property Australia as Building Surveyors on the cutting edge mixed use development of the former Burwood Brickworks site in Burwood, Melbourne. The development comprises a 2,000 square metre urban farm and greenhouse located on top of a proposed shopping mall as well a range of residential buildings. Sustainable designer Joost Bakker will act as the project’s creative consultant and alongside Frasers as the developer hopes to make this suburban shopping mall the world’s most sustainable. Andrew Christoforou, Partner leads the team at McKenzie Group. Construction is set to commence mid-year.
